Play
For each of the photographs in the slideshow create a caption like you would find in a newspaper.
Then pick 4 of the photographs and try to answer the questions below:
1. What is happening?
2. Who is in the photo?
3. Where is this happening?
4. When did this happen?
5. Why is this happening?
6. How could people/animals/the environment be affected?

For another photo write down three things you know about the photograph and three things you don’t know about the photo

Find a photograph either at home or on the internet of a place or object. Answer the following questions about your place:
1. What is happening?
2. Who is in the photo?
3. Where is this happening?
4. When did this happen?
5. Why is this happening?
6. How could people/animals/the environment be affected?

Search for a date memorable to you – it could be your birthday

Click on the links and spend 5 minutes exploring. For an article of your choice answer the following questions:
1. Where is this place?
2. What is this place like?
3. What has happened in this place?
4. Has it changed?
5. Who has been affected by this event?
6. How do people feel about it?
7. How do I feel about it?
You might not be able to answer every question depending on the news story chosen but don’t worry about that.
